Hi Julia,

I’m writing to tell you what happened last week.

On Monday, I took my dog for a walk to the park. In the park, I met a very nice girl, Natalia. She’s also a dog owner. She’s a very interesting person because she studies history. She told me a lot about the history of our city and country. I was really impressed.

Natalia is a young person about 20 years old. She’s tall and slim. Natalia has long blond hair and blue eyes. She wears glasses and has dimples in her cheeks. She’s always cheerful and elegant.

Natalia also loves watching films. It turned out that our favorite kinds of movies are comedies and action movies. So, we decided to go to the cinema together next Saturday. “A Time to Run”, a great American action film, is playing at the Blue Moon this month. I’m sure we’ll have a wonderful time.

How about you? Have you met any interesting person recently?

Love,

Martha

Hi Bob,

I am writing to you to tell you about a new cinema that opened in our city last month.

I went to the new cinema last weekend to see a movie. I liked the cinema very much. The cinema is very modern and beautiful. It has a big screen and an amazing sound system. You can also buy the best popcorn in our city there.

I watched “A Time to Run”, a great American action movie. It was very interesting and exciting and the special effects were amazing. You should watch the movie. I'm sure you'll like it.

After the movie, on the way home, I met my friend Mike. He also saw the movie and was impressed. So we decided to go to the cinema next Saturday for the second part of this movie. I can't wait.

How about you? Have you seen any exciting movies lately?

Love,

Luke

Dear Aunt Mary,

Thank you very much for your last letter. I'm glad you're doing well. Thank you also for inviting me for two weeks. I've always wanted to see London, the most beautiful city in England.

I'm very sorry, but I can't visit you next week. Grandma Sofia is not feeling well and I have to take care of her.

Grandma was at the doctor's a few days ago. The doctor said it was nothing serious and she would be fine in a few weeks. He gave her medicine and now she feels much better. I'm looking after her, doing the shopping and taking care of her house.

Aunt Mary, can I come to London next month when Granny is well? I still want to visit you and spend some time with you. It would be great. I can't wait.

Love,

Kate

Dear Jake and Mary,

Thank you for your last letter. I’m glad you’re doing well.

I'm sorry I didn't reply to your letter sooner, but I was very busy. I was moving to a new house. Now, I live in a nice house with a beautiful garden in the suburbs. I like this house very much.

I got some photos from our camp from you. I like the ones on the beach the most. Thanks a lot. I have already placed some of them in frames on the walls of my house. They remind me of the best two weeks we spent together.

How about organizing a post-camp meeting next Saturday? It can take place in my new home. I will prepare good food and we can have a barbecue in the garden. It will be fun.

What do you think? Please, let me know.

Love,

Hi Mary,

You won’t believe what happened last week!

On Monday, my two classmates, Ola and Ula, had a serious argument about which of them is prettier. Ola stubbornly repeated she is prettier than Ula and vice versa. They were very angry with each other.

I told them that their fight didn’t have any sense because they’re both very beautiful. They’re tall and slim. Both of them have long blond hair and blue eyes. And they’re extremely nice girls and everyone likes them. At first, they didn’t want to listen to me. But finally, they were convinced. Since then they’ve been best friends.

Ola and Ula were so grateful that I reconciled them that they invited me to the cinema. The movie was very interesting and exciting. Then we went to a nice restaurant for dinner. That was such a nice day!

How about you? Do you see similar situations among your classmates?

Love,

Frank

Hi Mark,

I’ve just come back from a camp. I’m writing to tell you what happened to me last week.

Two weeks ago our class went to a camp in the Tatra Mountains. We stayed in a very nice guesthouse in Zakopane. We hiked every day. But last weekend I was unlucky because I broke my leg.

It was Saturday morning. My friends and I went to the mountains. The route was very difficult. Suddenly, at the top of the mountain, my best friend Bob slipped, lost his balance, and was about to fall down the mountain. I jumped off a rock to catch him and then I broke my leg. Fortunately, Bob was safe. He almost lost his life.

After this incident, I spent three days in the hospital. I feel quite good now. I don't feel any pain and the doctor said I'd be fine in a few weeks. Bob visits me every day. He's grateful I saved his life, but I think anyone would have done the same in this situation.

How about you? Have you encountered a similar situation in the mountains?

Love,

Tom

Hi Mike,

How are you doing? I’m writing to tell you about something very important.

Two months ago, some of the best students in my class and I started a school charity campaign to help teenagers with social problems. There are a few students in our school who aren’t doing very well. So, we decided to help them. We’ve organized some extra classes and they like them very much.

Our last classes lasted three hours. Firstly, we taught biology, then we had a history lesson, and finally, the students studied geography. All of our students learned a lot. Some of them revised for a test. Now, they’re ready to improve their grades.

We have some plans for the future. We’re going to convince some professional teachers to help us. We also want to raise our qualifications and teaching skills. Moreover, we want to encourage more students to use our help.

Do you also organize similar campaigns in your school? Please, let me know.

Love,

Lawrence
