Przy pisaniu listu należy
zwrócić uwagę na kilka rzeczy:
- piszemy wyraźnie,
- stosujemy akapity,
- omawiamy wszystkie zagadnienia,
- nie zmieniamy kolejności
kwestii, które mamy do omówienia,
- jeśli to możliwe, używamy
różnych czasów i konstrukcji,
- piszemy krótkie i precyzyjne
zdania,
- staramy się, by akapity były
podobnej wielkości,
- w listach formalnych nie
stosujemy skrótów,
- nie piszemy o masakrach :)
złamamych nogach, pękniętych
kręgosłupach itp.
- na koniec sprawdzamy, co
napisaliśmy :)

Hi Julia,
You won’t believe it. My brother
has just started studying at
university in London.
He chose to study medicine
because he’s always wanted to
become a doctor.
He’s very good at biology and
chemistry. When he was in high
school, he won all school
competitions.
My family is very proud of him.
They say it’s a good idea to
study at this university. It’s
the best university in the UK.
People from all over Europe want
to study there. He’ll receive a
very good education there and
will be able to work in any
hospital around the world.
My brother lives in a flat in a
very beautiful neighborhood near
the city center. He lives on the
second floor.
He’s renting a three-bedroom
flat with two friends. The flat
is very bright and modern. The
rooms are comfortable. There is
a large kitchen and a nice
bathroom. There is also a
balcony.
My brother says London is a
beautiful city. He’s already
seen a lot of interesting
places, such us museums, art
galleries and theatres. He says
London is also an excellent
place for shopping.
How about visiting him together
one day?
He’ll show us his school and the
city. It’ll be fun. What do you
think? Please, let me know.
Love,
Mary

Hi Kate,
I
had to go to the vet with our
dog. I think he is sick.
He couldn’t sleep last night. He
didn’t want to eat anything and
he is very sad. I will be back
at about twelve o’clock.
I would like to prepare
something special for dinner
today. Unfortunately, we don’t
have much food in the fridge.
Could you do the shopping for
us?
Please, buy some chicken,
cheese, and vegetables for
salad.
You can do the shopping
in Stonka, our local store. The
store is fantastic. They always
have fresh food, low prices, and
a lot of discounts. I’ve heard
they are
having a special offer for
vegetables this week.
Stonka is
open from 7 a.m.
I’ve left you some money
for the shopping.
You’ll
find it in the kitchen.
I’m sure it’ll be enough. See
you at noon.
Love,
Julia

Dear
Mr. Smith,
I stayed at your hotel
last week.
It was
from Monday the 21st
to Friday the 25th of
July. I am very pleased with my
stay at your hotel.
It was the best holiday I have
ever had. Your hotel is
beautiful, the service was
excellent and the food was
delicious.
Unfortunately,
I left a
book in my hotel room.
It was a
poem book
with Polish
poems.
I would
like to have it back because it
is a gift from my grandmother.
She is a writer and she wrote
the book for me.
The book
is small and has a red cover. It
is written in Polish.
My grandmother, Zofia Nowak, is
the author of the book.
I probably
left it on the shelf in the
hotel room.
I am sure you will find it
easily.
Could you
please send the book back to me?
I will gladly pay the shipping
cost.
Please, let
mi know if you have any
questions.
Thank
you,
John

Hi Mike,
How are you? I hope you
are fine. I’m writing to you to
tell you about something really
unusual.
Last month,
when I was going back from
school, I found a dog.
It was in the park, near my
house. The dog was sitting next
to the bench. When I came closer
the dog barked and wagged its
tail. The dog was beautiful. He
was black and brown, very strong
and about three years old.
I’ve never seen the dog
before.
I liked him very much. Because
the dog appeared to have no
owner I decided to take him
home.
I gave him some food, fresh
water and named him Reksio.
My family liked Reksio too.
They love animals,
especially my younger brother.
They were very happy
I found this friendly dog.
After a few days, I had a
problem with Reksio.
He couldn’t sleep at night, was
nervous and didn’t feel very
well.
I think it
was too hot for him in the
house.
So, I bought him a kennel and
put it outside.
Now, he feels much better and we
feel safe because he protects
our house all the time.
I have
had some responsibilities
since I foundthe
dog.
I feed him twice a day, give him
water and clean his kennel. I
also have to take him to the vet
from time to time.
My life has changed since Reksio
came to live with us.
He is my best friend now. We do
many things together.
We run in the park every
morning, play football and even
go fishing. He is a great
companion.
What about you? Has anything
unusual happened to you
recently?
